Who are the Spark Plugz?

Dave Heise's in-the-pocket guitar playing and vocals have anchored the band since its inception in 1978. Heise also worked with the late Jim Krueger's ("We Just Disagree") Happy Schnapps Combo.

Drummer Mark LeCoque has performed in a number of local and regional bands for over three decades. He was weaned on the Blues and early Rock and Roll back in the 60's and can play a variety of music.

Keyboard man Larry Byrne has been a member of quality musical groups since his high school debut with NE Wisconsin favorites GREASE and HOTNOGGIN. This was followed by stints with Chicago Daily Blues, Blind Bluesman Bryan Lee, and the Ben Sidran touring band. He became a Motown recording artist while working with the late, great Luther Allison. In Chicago, he spent twenty years as "Cleveland St. James" in the legendary show band Dr. Bop and the Headliners. He later reunited with Bryan Lee at Bourbon Street's Old Absinthe Bar in New Orleans.

Bassman Craig Jones has been on the team since 1987. Jones learned his blues growing up on the gritty south side of Chicago - and has gigged extensively throughout the United States and Canada.
